The CGB8 n/a (Catalog #MBS633058) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Chorionic Gonadotropin, Human, beta (hCGb) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Chorionic Gonadotropin, beta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA).
Suitable for use in ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CGB8 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The CGB8 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #15426252) (NCBI Accession #NP_149439.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a glycoprotein, which is secreted in large quantities by normal trophoblasts. It is present only in trace amounts in non-pregnant urine and sera but rises sharply during pregnancy. HCG is composed of two non-identical, non-covalently linked polypeptide chains designated as the a-and b-subunits. The a-subunit of HCG is nearly identical to that of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH). A germ cell tumor which is positive for cytokeratin, placental alkaline phosphatase (PLAP), and HCG but negative for EMA and AFP is probably a choriocarcinoma.

CGB8 n/a

Immunogen: Human Chorionic Gonadotropin isolated from Human Pregnancy Urine (NP_000728.1)
Affinity Constant: 3.0 x 10e11L/M. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CGB8 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CGB8 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
