Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given elisa kit. We\'ve tested the Human thyroxine, T4 ELISA Kit with the following immunoassay(s):
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Princple of the assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to T4. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Biotin-conjugated T4. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between T4 (Standards or samples) and Biotin-conjugated T4 with the pre-coated antibody specific for T4. The more amount of T4 in samples, the less antibody bound by Biotin-conjugated T4. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of T4 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Samples: Serum, plasma
Assay Type: Competitive
Detection Range: 20 ng/ml-320 ng/ml.
Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of human T4 is typically less than 10 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest human T4 concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess. Human thyroxine, T4 ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit.
