The PREX1 prex1 (Catalog #MBS543162) is a Positive Control and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s PREX1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).
Western Blot: 1:500-1:750. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PREX1 prex1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The PREX1 prex1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #148886999) (NCBI Accession #Q8TCU6.3) (Uniprot Accession #Q8TCU6). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Western Blot Positive Control Phosphatidylinositol 3, 4, 5-trisphosphate-dependent Rac exchanger 1 protein
Functions as a RAC guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), which activates the Rac proteins by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. Its activity is synergistically activated by phosphatidylinositol 3, 4, 5-trisphosphate and the beta gamma subunits of heterotrimeric G protein. May function downstream of heterotrimeric G proteins in neutrophils.
