Western Blot Positive Control Phosphatidylinositol 3, 4, 5-trisphosphate-dependent Rac exchanger 1 protein
Functions as a RAC guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), which activates the Rac proteins by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. Its activity is synergistically activated by phosphatidylinositol 3, 4, 5-trisphosphate and the beta gamma subunits of heterotrimeric G protein. May function downstream of heterotrimeric G proteins in neutrophils.
Immunogen: Purified Protein
Expression: Mainly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes and brain. Expressed at intermediate level in spleen and lymph nodes, and weakly expressed in other tissues. Molecular Function: enzyme binding, Rho GTPase activator activity, Rho guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity, phospholipid binding
Subcellular Location: Cytoplasm, cell membrane. Breast Neoplasms, Disease Models, Animal, Glioblastoma, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasm Metastasis, Prostatic Neoplasms, Skin Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to PREX1 Positive Control. PREX1 also interacts with the following gene(s): MTOR, RAC1, RAC2, RAC3, RICTOR. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Kidney, Lung, Lymph, Lymph Node, Nerve, Prostate, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
