Principle of the assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to NTXI. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for NTXI and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain NTXI, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of NTXI.You can calculate the concentration of NTXIin the samples by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Assay Type: Sandwich
Detection Range: 1.56-100ng/mL
Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of Human NTXI is 0.94ng/mL (The sensitivity of this assay, or lowest detectable limit(LDL) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero). Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human NTXI concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Chicken NTXI (Cross Linked N-telopeptide of Type I Collagen) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit.
