Intended Uses: For the quantitative detection of Human Probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase makorin-3 (MKRN3) concentration in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MKRN3 in Human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates. An antibody specific for MKRN3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any MKRN3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MKRN3 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MKRN3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids
Assay Type: Quantitative Sandwich
Detection Range: 31.25 pg/mL - 2000 pg/mL
Sensitivity: 7.8 pg/mL. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision. Intra-Assay: CV<8%
Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays) Three samples of known concentration were tested in forty separate assays to assess inter-assay precision. CV (%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%. Human Probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase makorin-3 (MKRN3) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. MKRN3 also interacts with the following gene(s): ATP10A, C15orf2, NDN, SNRPN, SNURF, UBE3A. Breast Neoplasms, Chromosome Aberrations, Chromosome Breakage, Gonadal Disorders, Nervous System Diseases, Precocious Puberty, Central are some of the diseases may be linked to Human Probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase makorin-3 (MKRN3) ELISA Kit.
