Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Intended Uses: This LYMbeta ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human LYMbeta. This ELISA kit for research use only!
Principle of the Assay: LYMbeta ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-LYMbeta antibody and an LYMbeta-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with LYMbeta-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the LYMbeta concentration since LYMbeta from samples and LYMbeta-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-LYMbeta antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by LYMbeta from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind LYMbeta-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The LYMbeta concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type: Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity: 1.0 pg/mL. Human Lymphotoxin beta ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
