The IL5 il5 (Catalog #MBS539462) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s IL5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, User optimized. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL5 il5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The IL5 il5 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4504671) (NCBI Accession #NP_000870.1) (Uniprot Accession #P05113). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful. The amino acid sequence is listed below:

Our knowledge of the role of proteins in cellular processes is continually evolving. Most proteins, including IL5 are typically involved in one or more signaling pathways or biological processes. Professionally manufactured recombinant proteins are increasingly becoming essential and commonplace tools for elucidating new knowledge about the role of proteins in both health and disease.

IL5 il5

Protein Type: Recombinant
Biological Significance: IL5 is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates the proliferation and activation of eosinophils. Produced by mast cells, T cells, and eosinophils, IL5 plays an important role in inducing cell-mediated immunity against parasitic infections and certain tumors. Elevated levels of IL5 lead to Eosinophilia, which may result in the induction of asthma and other allergic diseases. Human and Mouse IL5 is cross-species reactive.
Bioactivity: The ED50 was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human TF-1 cells is 5 x 10^5units/mg.
Endotoxin Levels: Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng per ug (1 EU/ug). Expression System: E Coli. IL5 also interacts with the following gene(s): CSF2RB, GATA3, IL2, IL3, IL4, IL5RA, IL9, JUN, STAT6. Thymus tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Asthma, Bronchial Hyperreactivity, Eosinophilia, Fibrosis, Hyperplasia, Hypersensitivity, Inflammation, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Respiratory Hypersensitivity are some of the diseases may be linked to IL5 protein (Mouse).
