Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only) ()
Intended Uses: For the determination of C-Reactive Protem by enzyme immunoassay in human serum.
Principle of the Assay: The principle of the following enzyme immunoassay test follows a typical two-step capture or \'sandwich\' type assay. The assay makes use of two highly specific monoclonal antibodies: A monoclonal antibody specific for CRP is immobilized onto the microwell plate and another monoclonal antibody specific for a different region of CRP is conjugated to horse radish peroxidase (HRP). CRP from the sample and calibrators are allowed to bind to the plate, washed, and subsequently incubated with the HRP conjugate. After a second washing step, the enzyme substrate is added. The enzymatic reaction is tenninated by addition of the stopping solution. The absorbance is measured on a microtiter plate reader. The intensity of the colour formed by the enzymatic reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of CRP in the sample A set of calibrators is used to plot a standard curve from which the amount of CRP in samples and controls can be directly read.
Samples: Human serum
Assay Type: Sandwich. Intra-assay Precision: Three samples were assayed ten times each on the same calibrator curve.
Inter-assay Precision: Three samples were assayed ten times over a period of four weeks. C-Reactive Protein (hsCRP) ELISA or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. Arthritis, Rheumatoid, Atherosclerosis, Cardiovascular Diseases, Heart Diseases, Infection, Inflammation, Metabolic Diseases, Myocardial Ischemia, Necrosis, Pain are some of the diseases may be linked to C-Reactive Protein (hsCRP) ELISA. hsCRP also interacts with the following gene(s): CFH, FCGR2A, FN1, ICAM1, IL6, LEP, SERPINE1, STAT3. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
