The Goat anti Guinea Pig IgM (Fc specific) n/a (Catalog #MBS571876) is a Secondary Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti Guinea Pig IgM (Fc specific), conjugated with FITC reacts with Guinea Pig and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Goat anti Guinea Pig IgM (Fc specific) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunocytochemistry (IHC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC)(Frozen), (In)direct Immunofluorescence (IF). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Goat anti Guinea Pig IgM (Fc specific) n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. To buy or view more detailed product information and pricing, please click on the technical datasheet page below:
The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc subunit of the IgM molecule, which expresses strict (class) specificity. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial in immunodiffusion using various antiserum concentrations against guinea pig serum, a single precipitin line has been obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin lines obtained with the purified IgM used as immunogens. It does not react with IgG, IgG/Fab fragments and IgA or any non-Ig protein in guinea pig serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. In immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical staining of IgM at the cellular and subcellular level of appropriately treated cell and tissue substrates; to demonstrate circulating IgM antibodies in microbiology and autoimmune diseases; to identify a specific antigen using a reference antibody of guinea pig origin known to be of the IgM isotype in the middle layer of the indirect test procedure. This immunoconjugate is not pre-diluted. The optimum working dilution of each conjugate should be established by titration before being used. Excess labelled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal.
Product Type: Secondary Antibody
Source: Purified IgM isolated from guinea pig serum. Freunds complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Reconstitution: It is reconstituted by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water, spun down to remove insoluble particles, divided into small aliquots, frozen and stored at or below -20C. . Reactivity Note: This immunoconjugate is not species-specific since inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antisera to immunoglobulins. Cross-reactivity of this antiSerum has not been tested in detail.
