The Goat anti Guinea Pig IgG2 (subclass specific) n/a (Catalog #MBS571827) is a Secondary Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti Guinea Pig IgG2 (subclass specific) reacts with Guinea Pig and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Goat anti Guinea Pig IgG2 (subclass specific) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Precipitation assays.Precipitation assays. In immunoelectrophoresis use 2 ul or equivalent against 120 ul antiserum. In double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) use a rosette arrangement with 10 ul antiserum in a 3 mm diameter centre well and 2 ul serum samples (neat and diluted) in 2 mm diameter peripheral wells. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Goat anti Guinea Pig IgG2 (subclass specific) n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc subunit of subclass IgG2. It does not react with other IgG1, IgG/Fab fragments, IgM and IgA or any non-Ig protein in guinea pig serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG2 in guinea pig serum and other body fluids or to determine its concentration. To prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of guinea pig IgG2 from serum or plasma.
Source: Pools of purified normal IgG2 isolated from pooled guinea pig serum. Freunds complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Reconstitution: No foreign proteins added. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water.
Cross Reactivity: This IgG fraction is not species-specific since inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antisera to immunoglobulins. Cross-reactivity of this product has not been tested in detail.
