The Monkey GIP gip (Catalog #MBS737383) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBS737383 ELISA Kit recognizes Monkey (Rhesus Macaque, Rhesus Monkey, General) GIP.

The GIP gip product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4758436) (NCBI Accession #NP_004114.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given elisa kit. We\'ve tested the Monkey Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide ELISA Kit with the following immunoassay(s):
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only) GIP.

Principle of the Assay: GIP ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-GIP antibody and an GIP-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with GIP-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the GIP concentration since GIP from samples and GIP-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-GIP antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by GIP from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind GIP-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The GIP concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type: Competitive
Sensitivity: 1.0 pg/mL. Intended Uses: This GIP ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Monkey GIP. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!. Monkey Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. GIP also interacts with the following gene(s): BAX, DPP4, GATA4, GIPR, ISL1, RETN. Carcinoma, Cardiovascular Diseases, Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2, Fatty Liver, Hyperplasia, Hypertension, Kidney Diseases, Neurologic Manifestations, Weight Gain, Weight Loss are some of the diseases may be linked to Monkey Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide ELISA Kit.
