The Human FN fn1 (Catalog #MBS040161) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBS040161 ELISA Kit recognizes Human FN.The FN fn1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #148237139) (NCBI Accession #NP_001081270.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q91740). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Background: ELISA is a simple and highly sensitive method of analysis that allows for simultaneous and rapid quantification of a large number of samples. The assay is based on the specific recognition of the target compound (analyte/antigen) by antibodies which bind to the compound. The antigen-antibody complex is detected and measured with the aid of an enzyme-labeled antibody or antigen. Upon addition of a non-colored reagent, the enzyme produces a color reaction where the color intensity is directly or inversely proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the sample.
Samples: Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids
Detection Range: 12.5 - 400 ng/ml. Intended Uses: This ELISA kit is intended for laboratory in vitro research use only, not for drug, household or other use! The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm by a spectrophotometer. In order to measure the concentration of Human FN in the sample, this ELISA kit includes a set of calibration standards. The calibration standards are assayed at the same time as the samples and allow the operator to produce a standard curve of Optical Density versus Human FN concentration. The concentration of Human FN in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
