Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Intended Uses: This ENK ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Mouse ENK. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!
Principle of the Assay: ENK ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-ENK antibody and an ENK-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with ENK-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the ENK concentration since ENK from samples and ENK-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-ENK antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by ENK from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind ENK-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The ENK concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type: Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity: 1.0 pg/mL. Mouse Enkephalin ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. Anxiety Disorders, Brain Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Mental Disorders, Movement Disorders, Nervous System Diseases, Opioid-Related Disorders, Pain, Personality Disorders, Substance-Related Disorders are some of the diseases may be linked to Mouse Enkephalin ELISA Kit.
