The Chicken EGF epidermal growth factor/ egf (Catalog #MBS700715) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBS700715 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken (Gallus, General) EGF.

The EGF epidermal growth factor/ egf product has the following accession number(s) (GI #688072) (NCBI Accession #AAB32226.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q28867). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

(Or you can also download the PDF Manual for complete product instructions).

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given elisa kit. We\'ve tested the Chicken Epidermal growth factor, EGF ELISA Kit with the following immunoassay(s):
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only) EGF.

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for EGF has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any EGF present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for EGF is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of EGF bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Samples: Serum, plasma and tissue homogenates
Assay Type: Sandwich
Detection Range: 125 pg/ml-8000 pg/ml
Sensitivity: 31.25 pg/ml. Detection Wavelength: 450 nm
Sample Volume: 50-100ul. Chicken Epidermal growth factor, EGF ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. EGF also interacts with the following gene(s): FLNA. Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Ear, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Muscle, Umbilical Cord, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
