Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given infectious disease. We\'ve tested the Clostridium difficile Toxoid B with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (Antigenicity comparison of lyophilised and unlyophilised toxin and toxoid B)
SDS-Page (SDS-PAGE of purity showing Toxin A (308kD), molecular weight markers, and Toxin B (270kD).)
Clostridium difficile Toxoid B is a highly purified, non-toxic antigen preparation derived from Clostridium difficile Toxin B. It has been developed either for use as an immunogen to raise antibodies or for use in clinical assays. Formaldehyde is use to convert toxin to toxoid and quality control data illustrates that this treatment has no significant effect on the antigenicity of the resultant preparation.
Inactivation: Formaldehyde. No cell rounding in the sensitive verocytotoxicity assay at 2ug/ml compared to active toxin lethal dose of 4pg/ml.
Note: No test guarantees a product to be non-infectious. All materials should be handled as if potentially infectious. Generally accepted laboratory practices appropriate for infectious materials should be employed when handling this product.
