The Rat CAT cat2 (Catalog #MBS166257) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBS166257 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat CAT.The CAT cat2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #22234) (NCBI Accession #CAA38588.1) (Uniprot Accession #P12365). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Rat Carboxyhemoglobin (also known as HBCO) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Rat HBCO antibody. HBCO present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rat HBCO Antibody is added and binds to HBCO in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HBCO antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rat HBCO. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
Samples: Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates
Assay Type: Quantitative Sandwich
Detection Range: 0.05?g/L - 10?g/L
Sensitivity: 0.01?g/L. Intra-Assay: CV<8%
Inter-Assay: CV<10%. Rat Catalase (CAT) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Leaf, Meristem, Shoot tissues are correlated with this protein.
