|The YY1 yy1 (Catalog #MBS120431) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse monoclonal antibody Anti-Human YY1 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s YY1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Dot Blot (DB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the YY1 yy1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The YY1 yy1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #459683878) (NCBI Accession #NP_003394.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Mouse monoclonal antibody Anti-Human YY1 with the following immunoassay(s):
Quality Control (Western blot analysis of immunized recombinant protein, using anti-YY1 monoclonal antibody.)
Quality Control #2 (Arrow indicates the region of immunized recombinant protein carrying 50-200 amino acids.)
Western Blot (WB) (Detection of YY1 by Western blot.
Samples: Whole cell lysate from human HEK293 (H, 25 ug), mouse NIH3T3 (M, 25 ug) and rat F2408 (R, 25 ug) cells. [Lot No. 3248C3a-1]
Predicted molecular weight: 45 kDa)
Immunocytochemistry (ICC) (Immunostaining analysis in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS. The cells were immunostained with anti-YY1 mAb. [Lot No.3248C3a-1])
YY1 is an ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins. The protein is involved in repressing and activating a diverse number of promoters. YY1 may direct histone deacetylases and histone acetyltransferases to a promoter in order to activate or repress the promoter, thus implicating histone modification in the function of YY1.[NCBI Entrez Gene Summary].
Preparation: This antibody was purified using protein G column chromatography from culture supernatant of hybridoma cultured in a medium containing bovine IgG-depleted (approximately 95%) fetal bovine serum. Sterility: Filtered through a 0.22 um membrane. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing YY1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as YY1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
