Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Rabbit anti STAT1 (Paired Y701, Non-phospho) with the following immunoassay(s):
STAT proteins (Signal transducer and activator of transcription) belong to a family of cytoplasmic transcription factors that can be phosphorylated by a lignad binding to its cell surface receptor. The phosphorylation of STAT1 at Tyr701 induces STAT1 dimerization, nuclear translocation and DNA binding. STAT 1 is activated by a number of different ligands, including IFN, EGF, PDGF and IL6. Tyrosine 701 phosphorylation impairment results in loss of STAT 1 functions.
Antigen Preparation: A synthetic peptide surrounding to the epitope -TGYIK—without phosphorylation sites at Tyr701 of STAT1 protein from human, mouse and rat origins. Positive Control: Mouse liver
Cellular Location: Nuclear. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing STAT1 (Paired Y701) are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as STAT1 (Paired Y701) may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Ear, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Muscle, Umbilical Cord, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
