The SOCS3 socs3 (Catalog #MBS850338) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SOCS3 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SOCS3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB).ELISA: 1:5000-1:20000
WB: 1:100-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SOCS3 socs3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The SOCS3 socs3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #45439352) (NCBI Accession #NP_003946.3) (Uniprot Accession #O14543). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

SOCS3 is an SH2-containing protein that binds to the activation loop of Janus kinases, inhibiting kinase activity and thereby suppressing cytokine signaling. It is a member of the STAT-induced STAT inhibitor (SSI), also known as suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS), family. The expression of the SOCS3 gene is induced by various cytokines, including IL6, IL10, and interferon (IFN)-gamma. Studies of the mouse counterpart of the SOCS3 gene suggested this gene is involved in the negative regulation of fetal liver hematopoiesis, and placental development.
Immunogen: Recombinant fragment of Human SOCS3 (N-terminus).
Preservative: 0.02% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, PBS, pH7.4. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SOCS3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SOCS3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Heart Diseases, Hepatitis, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to SOCS3 Antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Adipose Tissue, Blood, Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. SOCS3 also interacts with the following gene(s): IL6, INSR, JAK1, JAK2, JAK3, LEPR, PTPN11, STAT1, STAT3.
