The SNAI2 snai2 (Catalog #MBS150130) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Slug Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Slug can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF).Slug antibody can be used for detection of Slug by Western blot at 0.5 to 2 mug/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunoflourescence starting at 20 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SNAI2 snai2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The SNAI2 snai2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #11134406) (NCBI Accession #O43623.1) (Uniprot Accession #O43623). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Slug Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of Slug in 293 cell lysate with Slug antibody at in (A) 0.5, (B) 1 and (C) 2 μg/mL.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence of Slug in human kidney tissue with Slug antibody at 20 μg/mL.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of SLUG expression in (A) human and (B) mouse kidney tissue lysate with SLUG antibody at 0.5 μg/ml.)
Slug Antibody: Slug, a member of the Snail family of C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factors, was initially identified to be involved in epithelial-mesenchymal transitions as well as the formation of the neural tube during vertebrate embryogenesis. Like Snail, Slug transcription can be induced by growth factors such as FGF, BMP, and TGF-beta. Once expressed, Slug will bind E-box regions of promoters and repress transcription of genes such as E-cadherin and Claudin-. More recently, its expression in breast, esophogeal, and colorectal carcinomas has been correlated with poor prognosis for survival. Furthermore, Slug can protect hemapoietic progenitor cells from radiation-induced apoptosis by repressing the p53-mediated transcription of Puma, a BH3-only antagonist of the anti-apoptotic members of the Bcl-2 family. Slug antibody has no cross-reactivity to Snail protein.
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Immunogen: Slug antibody was raised against a 13 amino acid synthetic peptide from near the center of human Slug.
Buffer: Slug Antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SNAI2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SNAI2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
