The PYGB pygb (Catalog #MBS222801) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s GLYCOGEN PHOSPHORYLASE BB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Paraffin*.Immunohistology - Paraffin: Maximum Dilution: 10ug/ml; Application Note: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PYGB pygb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PYGB pygb product has the following accession number(s) (GI #21361370) (NCBI Accession #NP_002853.2) (Uniprot Accession #P11216). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the RABBIT ANTI HUMAN GLYCOGEN PHOSPHORYLASE BB with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data #1 (Staining of formalin fixed, paraffin embedded human brain with Rabbit anti Human glycogen phosphorylase BB (MBS222801))
Rabbit anti Human glycogen phosphorylase BB antibody detects brain glycogen phosphorylase, a regulatory enzyme which catalyses the rate-determining step in glycogen degradation. Mammalian glycogen phosphorylase is found as three major isozymes including muscle (GPMM), liver (GPLL), and brain (GPBB), which can be distinguished by their structural and functional properties as well as by the tissues in which they are expressed. GPBB is thought to function in the release of emergency glucose during stress, and in embryogenesis where it is the predominant isozyme. GPBB is also expressed in the early stages of gastric and colorectal cancers.
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.09% Sodium Azide (NaN3). Histology Positive Control Tissue: Brain
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Antiserum Preparation: Antisera to human brain glycogen phosphorylase were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.
Target Species: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PYGB are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PYGB may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Adenocarcinoma, Brain Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Disease Models, Animal, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to RABBIT ANTI HUMAN GLYCOGEN PHOSPHORYLASE BB.
