The PPP1A ppp1ca (Catalog #MBS850261) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PPP1A Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PPP1A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA).WB 1:500-1:2000
ELISA: 1:10000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PPP1A ppp1ca for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PPP1A ppp1ca product has the following accession number(s) (GI #56790945) (NCBI Accession #NP_001008709.1) (Uniprot Accession #P62136). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

The protein encoded by this gene is one of the three catalytic subunits of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1). PP1 is a serine/threonine specific protein phosphatase known to be involved in the regulation of a variety of cellular processes, such as cell division, glycogen metabolism, muscle contractility, protein synthesis, and HIV-1 viral transcription. Increased PP1 activity has been observed in the end stage of heart failure. Studies in both human and mice suggest that PP1 is an important regulator of cardiac function. Mouse studies also suggest that PP1 functions as a suppressor of learning and memory. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of human PPP1A expressed in E. Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PPP1A are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PPP1A may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Bladder, Blood, Brain, Eye, Kidney, Lung, Mouth, Nerve, Prostate, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. PPP1A also interacts with the following gene(s): BRCA1, PPP1R10, PPP1R2, PPP1R8, PPP1R9B, PTEN, TP53, TP53BP2.
