The Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone n/a (Catalog #MBS609529) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti-Human Phosphatase, Alkaline, Human, Bone (BAP) reacts with Alkaline phosphatase from human placenta, calf intestine and bacterial. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone n/a product has the following accession number(s) (Uniprot Accession #P05186). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Mouse anti-Human Phosphatase, Alkaline, Human, Bone (BAP) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of bacterial alkaline phosphatase tagged, using MBS609529.)
Alkaline phosphatase (AP) is an ubiquitously expressed enzyme which removes phosphate groups from target molecules, including DNA, RNA and alkaloids, under alkaline conditions, and is present at higher concentrations in the placenta (placental AP), intestines (intestinal AP) and liver/bone/kidney (tissue non-specific AP). Although the exact biochemical function of BAP is uncertain, measurement of the serum levels of BAP can be used as a biochemical indicator of bone turnover. Conditions which present with a decrease in the level of BAP (hypophosphatasemia) include the inherited bone-deforming disorder hypophosphatasia and osteoporosis, while an increase in BAP (hyperphosphatasemia) is associated with Paget\'s disease, bone fractures and osteosarcomas.
Immunogen: Purified alkaline phosphatase (native) from human bone.
Grade: Affinity Purified. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
