The PAX8 pax8 (Catalog #MBS421227) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-PAX8 (N Terminus) Antibody reacts with Tested: Human; Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PAX8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 128000.
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Thyroid Gland shows textured nuclear stains in the epithelial cells around the follicles. Data obtained from previous batch (different goat). Recommended concentration, 2-4ug/ml. A customer found this antibody unsuccessful in immunohistochemistry on Mouse tissues.
Western Blot: In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing Human PAX8 (myc and DYKDDDDK tagged), a band of approx. 60kDa is observed. The same band is observed using anti- DYKDDDDK antibody and no bands are observed in mock-transfected HEK293. Recommended concentration, 0.1-0.3ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PAX8 pax8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PAX8 pax8 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #5803117) (NCBI Accession #NP_003457.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful. The amino acid sequence is listed below:
PHNSIRSGHG GLN.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Goat anti-PAX8 (N Terminus) Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) ((2ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Human Thyroid Gland. Steamed antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, HRP-staining.)
Immunogen: Peptide with sequence PHNSIRSGHGGLN-C, from the N Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_003457.1; NP_039245.1; NP_039246.1; NP_039247.1; NP_054698.1.
Epitope: N Terminus. Note: This antibody is expected to recognise all five human isoforms (as represented by NP_003457.1; NP_039245.1; NP_039246.1; NP_039247.1; NP_054698.1). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PAX8 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PAX8 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Bladder, Brain, Cervix, Eye, Kidney, Lung, Lymph Node, Ovary, Pancreas, Thyroid tissues are correlated with this protein.
