The papK n/a (Catalog #MBS194126) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s PAPK (ALS2CR2) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoblot.
Immunoblotting: use at 1:250 dilution. A band of approximately 46-47 kDa is detected.
Positive control: liver tissue lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the papK n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The papK n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #26249421) (NCBI Accession #NP_755461.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

PAPK (polyploidy-associated protein kinase) is a new member of the Ste20/germinal center kinase family that modulates cytoskeletal organization and cell survival. Activation of a death signal transduction pathway may result in the stimulation of the PAPK promoter which leads to increased PAPK expression and provides a negative feedback signal that prevents cell death. Another name for this protein is ALS2CR2 (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis 2 chromosome region candidate 2, isoform A).

papK n/a

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 399-418 (SPWSELEFQFPDDKDPVWEF) of mouse PAPK conjugated to KLH at the C-terminus. Stabilizer: None
Preservatives: None. Available on request.
Dilutions Instructions: Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing papK are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as papK may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Ear, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Muscle, Umbilical Cord, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
