The OPN spp1 (Catalog #MBS551057) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti Osteopontin Polyclonal reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Osteopontin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), ELISA (EIA).
ELISA: Use at a concentration range of 1-2ug/ml.
Western blot:A suitable range of concentrations of this antibody for WB detection is 2-10 ug/ml.
IHC: A suitable range of concentrations of this antibody for IHC is 2-10 ug/ml.
Immunohistochemical analysis of FFPE mouse Thyroid sections expressing Osteopontin.
It was used as primary antibody, dilution 1:500, DAB staining. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the OPN spp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The OPN spp1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4759166) (NCBI Accession #NP_000573.1) (Uniprot Accession #P10451). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Rabbit anti Osteopontin Polyclonal with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry
Immunohistochemistry OPN.

Source Note: Polyclonal anti Osteopontin (OPN) antibody was produced from sera of rabbits immunized with synthetic protein containing Ostepontin antigenic determinants. Reconstitution: A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing OPN are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as OPN may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. OPN also interacts with the following gene(s): ACP5, CD44, IGFBP5, MMP3, MMP7, PRKCA. Adenocarcinoma, Breast Neoplasms, Cardiovascular Diseases, Fibrosis, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Neoplasm Metastasis, Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental are some of the diseases may be linked to Rabbit anti Osteopontin Polyclonal. Blood, Bone, Bone Marrow, Connective Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Mouth, Muscle, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
