Background: NKX2.5. NK2 transcription factor related, locus 5 (Drosophila), also known as CSX. It is a homeobox-containing transcription factor. This transcription factor functions in heart formation and development. Mutations in this gene cause atrial septal defect with atrioventricular conduction defect, and also tetralogy of Fallot, which are both heart malformation diseases. Mutations in this gene can also cause congenital hypothyroidism non-goitrous type 5, a non-autoimmune condition. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of human NKX2.5 expressed in E. Coli.
Species: Mouse IgG1. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NKX2.5 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NKX2.5 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. NKX2.5 also interacts with the following gene(s): COL1A1, COL1A2, COL3A1, COL4A2, COL5A1, COL5A2, COL7A1. Angiopathy, Hereditary, With Nephropathy, Aneurysms, And Muscle Cramps, Brain Small Vessel Disease with Hemorrhage, Disease Models, Animal, Fibrosis, Heart Diseases, Hypertension, Hypertrophy, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Porencephaly are some of the diseases may be linked to NKX2.5 Antibody. Bone, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Muscle, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
