|The Nanog nanog (Catalog #MBS200100) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Nanog antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Nanog can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
Recommended dilution range for Western blot is 1:500~1:1,000 and immunohistochemistry analysis is 1:50~100.
Recommended starting dilution for Western blot is 1:500 and Immunohistochemistry is 1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Nanog nanog for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Nanog nanog product has the following accession number(s) (GI #153945816) (NCBI Accession #NP_079141) (Uniprot Accession #Q9H9S0). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Nanog antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (The cell lysates of NIH3T3 (35ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to NC membrane and probed with anti-human Nanog (1:500). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Paraffin embedded sections of human seminoma tissue were incubated with anti-human Nanog (1:50) for 2 hours at room temperature. Antigen retrieval was performed in 0.1M sodium citrate buffer and detected using Diaminobenzidine (DAB))
Nanog is a multidomain homeobox transcription factor that functions to maintain the undifferentiated state of pluripotent stem cells. Nanog expression counteracts the differentiation-promoting signals induced by the extrinsic factors LIF, Stat3 and BMP. When Nanog expression is downregulated, cell differentiation can proceed. Proteins that regulate Nanog expression include transcription factors Oct4, SOX2, FoxD3, and Tcf3 and tumor suppressor p53.
Antigen Species: Human
Immunogen: Recombinant human Nanog (1-154aa) purified from E. coli. Clone Note: Anti-human Nanog mAb, clone 5A10, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human Nanog protein. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Nanog are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Nanog may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
