The MYC c-myc (Catalog #MBS560132) is an Antibody produced from Chicken and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase.ELISA: 1.0 - 0.2 ug/ml Blotting: The anti C-MYC was an effective probe at 0.5 ug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MYC c-myc for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MYC c-myc product has the following accession number(s) (GI #396512) (Uniprot Accession #Q6LBK7). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Chickens were immunized with C-MYC conjugated to a carrier protein. Eggs were collected and an IgY fraction was prepared. The resulting fraction was passed over an antigen containing immunoabsorbant from which the anti-C-MYC antibodies were immunoaffinity purified. Purification was followed by conjugation with horseradish peroxidase (HRP).
Buffer: 50 mM HEPES - Saline with Stabilizer. Preservative: 0.002% Thimerosal
Procedure: Chickens were immunized with EQKLISEEDL (C-MYC) conjugated with KLH. After multiple immunizations in Freunds adjuvant, eggs were collected. Antibodies were immunoaffinity purified using the peptide immobilized on a solid phase and conjugated with horseradish peroxidase. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MYC are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MYC may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Bone, Bone Marrow, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Adenocarcinoma, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Cell Transformation, Neoplastic, Disease Models, Animal, Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental, Neuroblastoma, Neuroectodermal Tumors, Skin Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to HRP Conjugated Chicken anti-C-MYC. MYC also interacts with the following gene(s): BCL2, BRCA1, CDK4, CDKN1A, CDKN2A, E2F1, MAPK3, MAX, MXI1, SP1.
