The MTOR n/a (Catalog #MBS417493) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-MTOR Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s MTOR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF).WB: 1:500~1:1000
IHC: 1:50~1:100
IF:1:100~1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MTOR n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MTOR n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #433687128) (NCBI Accession #AGB51120.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Testing Data
This gene belongs to a family of phosphatidylinositol kinase-related kinases. These kinases mediate cellular responses to stresses such as DNA damage and nutrient deprivation. This protein acts as the target for the cell-cycle arrest and immunosuppressive effects of the FKBP12-rapamycin complex. The ANGPTL7 gene is located in an intron of this gene. Storage Buffer: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg< sup>2< /sup>+ and Ca< sup>2< /sup>+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Immunogen: The antibody was produced against synthesized non-phosphopeptide derived from human mTOR around the phosphorylation site of serine 2448 (T-D-SP-Y-S). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MTOR are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MTOR may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
