The MPO mpo (Catalog #MBS247154) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal (IgG) to Human MPO / Myeloperoxidase reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s MPO / Myeloperoxidase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin).IHC-P (1:50). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MPO mpo for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MPO mpo product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4557759) (NCBI Accession #NP_000241.1) (Uniprot Accession #P05164). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Rabbit Polyclonal (IgG) to Human MPO / Myeloperoxidase with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Anti-MPO / Myeloperoxidase antibody IHC of human spleen, neutrophils. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody dilution 1:50.)
Myeloperoxidase (MPO) is a heme protein synthesized during myeloid differentiation that constitutes the major component of neutrophil azurophilic granules. Produced as a single chain precursor, myeloperoxidase is subsequently cleaved into a light and heavy chain. The mature myeloperoxidase is a tetramer composed of 2 light chains (12 kD) and 2 heavy chains (60 kD). This enzyme produces hypohalous acids central to the microbicidal activity of neutrophils.
Target Species: Human
Immunogen Description: Purified human granulocytic MPO. Immunogen Type: Purified protein
Immunogen: MPO / Myeloperoxidase antibody was raised against purified human granulocytic MPO. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MPO are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MPO may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. MPO also interacts with the following gene(s): ALB, ELANE, IL23A, JAK2, MYB, PRTN3. Blood, Bone, Bone Marrow, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Kidney, Lung, Lymph Node, Thyroid tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Cardiovascular Diseases, Colitis, Edema, Heart Diseases, Hemorrhage, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Reperfusion Injury are some of the diseases may be linked to Rabbit Polyclonal (IgG) to Human MPO / Myeloperoxidase.
