|The MMP-1 mmp1 (Catalog #MBS301407) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Anti-Human MMP-1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human
Predicted Reactivity: Rabbit and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s MMP-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin.
Specimen Preparation: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues are suitable for use with this primary antibody. Deparaffinization: Deparaffinize slides using xylene or xylene alternative and graded alcohols. Antibody Dilution: If using the concentrate format of this product, dilute the antibody 1:200. The dilutions are estimates; actual results may differ because of variability in methods and protocols. Antigen Retrieval: Boil tissue sections in 10mM Citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Primary Antibody Incubation: Incubate for 10 minutes at RT. Slide Washing: Slides must be washed in between steps. Rinse slides with PBS/0.05% Tween. Visualization: Detect the antibody as instructed by the instructions provided with the visualization system.
Immunohistochemistry Dilution: 1:200
IHC Positive Control: Placenta, Bladder, Breast, Ovarian Carcinoma. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MMP-1 mmp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MMP-1 mmp1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #225543094) (NCBI Accession #NP_001139410.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Rabbit Anti-Human MMP-1 Polyclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Human placenta stained with anti-MMP-1 antibody)
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) are proteolytic enzymes capable of degrading connective tissue components. Imbalanced secretion of certain MMP or disturbances in the differential control of MMP by tissue inhibitor of MMPs (TIMPs) is implicated in the invasive potential of malignant tumors. Interstitial collagenase (MMP-1), 72kDa gelatinase A / type IV collagenase (MMP-2), and 92kDa gelatinase B / type IV collagenase (MMP-9) dissolve extracellular matrix (ECM) and may initiate and promote angiogenesis.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide from near C-terminus of human MMP-1 protein.
Control Tissue: Bladder, Breast, Ovarian Carcinoma, Placenta
Cellular Localization: Cytoplasm
Entrez Gene Code: 4312
Pathway: Proteases and Protease Regulators. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MMP-1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MMP-1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
