The M13 + fd + F1 Filamentous Phages n/a (Catalog #MBS531587) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The M13/fd/F1 FP mAb(HRP) reacts with B62-FE2 binds to an epitope on pVIII (phage coat protein) covering the N-Terminal region of the g8p AEGDDPAKAAFDSLQASAT and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s M13 + fd + F1 Filamentous Phages can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA).ELISA: 1:20. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the M13 + fd + F1 Filamentous Phages n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Mouse monoclonal M13 + fd + F1 Filamentous Phages antibody (HRP).
Biological Significance: M13 is a filamentous bacteriophage composed of circular single stranded DNA (ssDNA) which is 6407 nucleotides long encapsulated in approximately 2700 copies of the major coat protein P8, and capped with 5 copies of two different minor coat proteins (P9, P6, P3) on the ends. The minor coat protein P3 attaches to the receptor at the tip of the F pilus of the host Escherichia coli. Infection with filamentous phages is not lethal, however the infection causes turbid plaques in E Coli. Cross-Reactivity: This antibody recognizes an epitope on pVIII (phage coat protein) covering the N-Terminal region of the g8p AEGDDPAKAAFDSLQASAT
Tag/Conjugate: HRP
Immunogen: M13/fd/F1 filamentous phages antibody (HRP) was raised in mouse using fd phages from E Coli F+ strain (JM109) as the immunogen.
Additional Remarks: Use in Phage Display (immunoassays for the identification of recombinant antigen or antibody-phages)(Detection Limit: 10^7 phage particles.). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing M13 + fd + F1 Filamentous Phages are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as M13 + fd + F1 Filamentous Phages may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
