The LPL lpl (Catalog #MBS533571) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s LPL can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB).ELISA: 1:10,000
WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LPL lpl for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The LPL lpl product has the following accession number(s) (GI #48146225) (NCBI Accession #CAG33335.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q6IAV0). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the LPL antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (Western Blot analysis using LPL antibody
Western Blot showing LPL antibody used against Hela cell lysate (1).)
Mouse monoclonal LPL antibody.
Biological Significance: LPL is expressed in heart, muscle, and adipose tissue. LPL functions as a homodimer, and has the dual functions of triglyceride hydrolase and ligand/bridging factor for receptor-mediated lipoprotein uptake. Severe mutations that cause LPL deficiency result in type I hyperlipoproteinemia, while less extreme mutations in LPL are linked to many disorders of lipoprotein metabolism. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: LPL antibody was raised in Mouse using a purified recombinant fragment of LPP expressed in E Coli as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing LPL are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as LPL may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. LPL also interacts with the following gene(s): APOA1, APOB, APOC2, APOC3, APOE, GPIHBP1, LMF1, LRP1, PPARA, PPARG. Adipose Tissue, Blood, Bone, Connective Tissue, Heart, Intestine, Kidney, Liver, Muscle, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
