The Lam lam (Catalog #MBS831874) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s Lamin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB).IHC: 1:10. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Lam lam for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Lam lam product has the following accession number(s) (GI #386769143) (NCBI Accession #NP_001245893.1) (Uniprot Accession #P08928). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Mouse monoclonal Lamin antibody.
Biological Significance: Nuclear lamins, also known as Class V intermediate filaments, are fibrous proteins providing structural function and transcriptional regulation in the cell nucleus. Nuclear lamins interact with membrane-associated proteins to form the nuclear lamina on the interior of the nuclear envelope. They are involved in the breakdown and reformation of the nuclear envelope during mitosis, as well as the positioning of nuclear pores. Cross-Reactivity: Fish, Bovine, Mouse, Rat, Trout, Rat Kangaroo
Immunogen: Lamin antibody was raised in mouse using Nuclear pore complex-lamina fraction of Xenopus laevis (XLKEA6 cells) as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Lam are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Lam may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Lam also interacts with the following gene(s): LamC, Nup153, Xbp1, baf, cdc2. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Embryonic Tissue, Gonad, Head, Ovary, Testis, Uncharacterized Tissue, Whole Body tissues are correlated with this protein. Autoimmune Diseases, Central Nervous System Diseases, Congenital Abnormalities, Death, Depressive Disorder, Disease Models, Animal, Immune System Diseases, Immunoproliferative Disorders, Lung Diseases, Necrosis are some of the diseases may be linked to Lamin antibody.
