Guinea Pig polyclonal Keratin hHa5 antibody.
Biological Significance: Keratin hHA5 protein is encoded by the KRT35 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the keratin gene family. This type I hair keratin is an acidic protein which heterodimerizes with type II keratins to form hair and nails. The type I hair keratins are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21 and have the same direction of transcription. Cross-Reactivity: Human, mouse
Biohazard Information: This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Immunogen: Keratin hHa5 antibody was raised in guinea pig using a synthetic peptide of human hair (trichocytic) keratin hHa5 coupled to KLH as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing KRT35 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as KRT35 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
