The KRT19 krt19 (Catalog #MBS831307) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Keratin K19 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Keratin K19 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB).
ELISA: 1:10,000
WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KRT19 krt19 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The KRT19 krt19 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #24234699) (NCBI Accession #NP_002267.2) (Uniprot Accession #P08727). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Keratin K19 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (Western Blot analysis using Keratin K19 antibody
Western Blot showing KRT19 antibody used against truncated KRT19-His recombinant protein (1) and full-length KRT19 (aa1-400)-hIgGFc transfected CHO-K1 cell lysate (2).)
Western Blot KRT19.

Mouse monoclonal Keratin K19 antibody.

Biological Significance: Keratin K19 is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins consist of acidic proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. Unlike its related family members, this smallest known acidic cytokeratin is not paired with a basic cytokeratin in epithelial cells. It is specifically expressed in the periderm, the transiently superficial layer that envelopes the developing epidermis. Immunogen: Keratin K19 antibody was raised in Mouse using a purified recombinant fragment of Cytokeratin 19(aa80-400) expressed in E Coli strain as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing KRT19 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as KRT19 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Adenocarcinoma, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Fibrosis, Liver Cirrhosis, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasm Invasiveness, Neoplasms, Experimental are some of the diseases may be linked to Keratin K19 antibody.
