Influenza virus type A nucleoprotein, also known as NP, is composed of a 498 amino acid sequence and is type-specific in influenza viruses. The NP encapsulates the virus genome to form a ribonucleoprotein (RNP) particle for the purposes of transcription and packaging. The monoclonal antibody FluA-NP 4F1 has been shown to specifically recognize type An influenza virus NP in virus infected cell culture and patient samples. This clone can be paired as a detection antibody for ELISA with clone FluA-NP 2C9.
Antigen Description: Recombinant influenza virus type A nucleoprotein (NP)
Immunogen: Recombinant influenza virus type A nucleoprotein. Characterization: To insure lot-to-lot consistency, each batch of product is tested by ELISA and/or PCFIA assay to conform to the characteristics of a standard reference reagent. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Influenza A Nucleoprotein are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Influenza A Nucleoprotein may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
