|The IL17B il17b (Catalog #MBS535854) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IL17B antibody reacts with Human IL-17B and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s IL17B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Inhibition, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL17B il17b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IL17B il17b product has the following accession number(s) (GI #7657228) (NCBI Accession #NP_055258.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q6IAG3). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Affinity purified Rabbit polyclonal IL17B antibody.
Biological Significance: IL17B is a disulfide-linked homodimer of two 161 amino acid polypeptide chains. It belongs to the IL17 family of structurally-related cytokines that share a highly conserved C-terminal region but differ from one another in their N-terminal regions and in their distinct biological roles. The six known members of this family, IL17A through IL17F, are secreted as homodimers. IL17B is expressed by T-cells and has been shown to stimulate release of TNF-alpha and IL1beta from cells of the monocyte lineage. Immunogen: IL17B antibody was raised in using highly pure recombinant human IL-17B as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IL17B are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IL17B may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. IL17B also interacts with the following gene(s): IL17A, IL17C, IL25. Bone, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Lung tissues are correlated with this protein.
