The IDO2 ido2 (Catalog #MBS175296) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-INDOL1 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s INDOL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).WB: Concentration: 0.1-0.5ug/ml; Tested Species: Human
FC: Concentration: 1-3ug/1x106; Tested Species: Human
Tested Species: In house treated species with positive results.
Predicted Species: Species predicted to be fit for the product based on sequence similarites.
Other applications have not been tested.
Optimal dilutions should be determined by end users.
Antibody can be supported by Chemiluminescent Kit MBS176460 in Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IDO2 ido2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IDO2 ido2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #215274147) (NCBI Accession #Q6ZQW0.3) (Uniprot Accession #Q6ZQW0). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-INDOL1 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Anti-INDOL1 antibody, MBS175296, Western blotting

IDO2(Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 2), also called INDOLEAMINE 2,3-DIOXYGENASE-LIKE 1 or INDOL1, is an enzyme encoded by theINDOL1 gene which metabolizes tryptophan in the kynurenine pathway. By genomic sequence analysis, the INDOL1 gene is mapped onchromosome 8p12 just downstream of the INDO gene. And its exact cytogenetic location is 8p11.21. By database analysis using INDO asprobe, followed by RT-PCR of total RNA from various tissues, IDO2 is cloned by human and mouse INDOL1. INDOL1 catabolizes tryptophan asdetermined by Kyn production, but unlike INDO, is inhibited by D-1-methyl-tryptophan(D-1MT) but not the L-1MT stereoisomer. The GeneStructure of the INDOL1 has 11 exons and spans 74 kb.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the N-terminus of human INDOL1 (1-20aa MLHFHYYDTSNKIMEPHRPN). Contents: Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.
Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IDO2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IDO2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
