The HIV-1 n/a (Catalog #MBS324141) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s HIV-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot.Titer: > 1:1,000 by western blot immunoassay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HIV-1 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

This product consists of purified IgG fraction of the above antiserum covalently coupled with the N-Hydroxysuccinimide ester of biotin under mild conditions to give a high degree of substitution. The product is formulated in a phosphate saline buffer (0.01M, pH 7.2) containing 0.1% sodium azide preservative. No stabilizing proteins have been added. Possible applications for this product include avidin and streptavidin amplification systems for immunohistochemistry, ELISA, fluorescence microscopy and immunoblotting. In addition, this product may beused in place of neat antiserum in almost any appropriate antibody-based technique. Protein concentration is 4-5 mg/ml. Recommended short term (<6 months) storage is liquid at 2-8 degree C. For longer term storage, aliquot and freeze. Unit size is 1.0 ml.
Immunogen: purified native gp120 from strain IIIB
Reactivity Note: Antiserum does not cross-react with human T or B cells
Uninfected Cell Reactivity: Antiserum is not reactive with human or bovine sera. Other Note: Functions as a capture antibody when paired with monoclonal (#1991) as reporter in ELISA.
Antiserum Characterization: (neat). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing HIV-1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as HIV-1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
