The hisS hiss (Catalog #MBS601817) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Histidyl-tRNA Synthetase (HRS, HARS, FLJ20491) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Histidyl-tRNA Synthetase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry.
Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 0.5-2ug/sample
Western Blot: 0.2-2ug/ml
Immunoprecipitation: 100-500ug/sample
Immunocytochemistry: 2-100ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the hisS hiss for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The hisS hiss product has the following accession number(s) (GI #16130439) (NCBI Accession #NP_417009.1) (Uniprot Accession #P60906). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Histidyl-tRNA Synthetase (HRS, HARS, FLJ20491) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Detection of HARS by Western blot. Samples usinf MBS601817: Whole cell lysate from human HeLa (25ug), mouse NIH3T3 (25ug) and rat F2408 (25ug) cells. Predicted molecular weight: 57kD)
Immunoprecipitation (IP) (Immunoprecipitation: RIPA lysate of HeLa cells was incubated with MBS601817.)
Testing Data (HeLa cells were fixed in 2% paraformaldehyde/PBS and then permeabilized in 90% methanol. Cells were stained with MBS601817 (shaded) or isotype control (unshaded) followed by Alexa Fluor® 488- conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG.)
Immunostaining (IS) (Immunostaining analysis in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS. The cells were immunostained with MBS601817.)

Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases are a class of enzymes that charge tRNAs with their cognate amino acid. The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme which belongs to the class II family of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. The enzyme is responsible for the synthesis of histidyl-transfer RNA, which is essential for the incorporation of histidine into proteins. The gene is located in a head-to-head orientation with HARSL on chromosome five, where the homologous genes share a bidirectional promoter. The gene product is a frequent target of autoantibodies in the human autoimmune disease polymyositis/dermatomyositis.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide from the N-terminal region of human Histidyl-tRNA Synthetase. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing hisS are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as hisS may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
