The HAP40 f8a1 (Catalog #MBS536240) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HAP40 antibody reacts with Murine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s HAP40 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).
WB: 1:500-1:1,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HAP40 f8a1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The HAP40 f8a1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #10444489) (NCBI Accession #AAG17919.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q00558). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Affinity purified Rabbit polyclonal HAP40 antibody.

HAP40 f8a1

Biological Significance: HAP40 is a 40- kDa Huntingtin-associated protein. It is likely to contribute to the function of normal huntingtin and is a candidate for involvement in the aberrant nuclear localization of mutant huntingtin found in degenerating neurons in Huntington\'s disease. Biohazard Information: This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Immunogen: HAP40 antibody was raised in rabbit using residues 314-325 [DGHGQDTSGQLP] of the 40 kDa mouse HAP40 protein as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing HAP40 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as HAP40 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Kidney tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
