The GPR44 ptgdr2 (Catalog #MBS244950) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal (IgG) to Human GPR44 / CRTH2 reacts with Gorilla, Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GPR44 / CRTH2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA).ELISA, IHC-P (10 ug/ml), WB (1:500 - 1:1000). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GPR44 ptgdr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The GPR44 ptgdr2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #153791424) (NCBI Accession #NP_004769.2) (Uniprot Accession #Q9Y5Y4). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Rabbit Polyclonal (IgG) to Human GPR44 / CRTH2 with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Anti-GPR44 / CRTH2 antibody IHC of human liver. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody concentration 10 ug/ml.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Anti-GPR44 / CRTH2 antibody IHC of human thymus. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody concentration 10 ug/ml.)
GPR44, also called CRTH2, is a Prostanoid Receptor that binds prostaglandin D2. PGD2 signals through CRTH2 to induce Th2, eosinophil, and basophil chemotaxis in a G-alpha(i) dependent manner. CRTH2 may play a role in mast cell-mediated immune responses such as those involved in allergic reactions. This receptor is upregulated in activated T helper-2 (Th2) cells, peripheral blood basophils, and eosinophils, but not in Th1 lineage cells. It may be an useful marker for Th2 and Tc2 cells.
Target Species: Human
Immunogen Description: Synthetic peptide from human GPR44 / CRTH2. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla (100%); Pig (85%); Elephant (80%). Immunogen Type: Synthetic peptide
Immunogen: GPR44 / CRTH2 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from human GPR44 / CRTH2. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla (100%); Pig (85%); Elephant (80%).
Antigen Modification: aa329-348. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GPR44 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GPR44 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
