|The GLUT13 n/a (Catalog #MBS535393) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GLUT13 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s GLUT13 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB).
ELISA: 0.5-1 ug/ml
IHC: 2-10 ug/ml
WB: 1-10 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GLUT13 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Affinity purified Rabbit polyclonal GLUT13 antibody.
Biological Significance: Most mammalian cells transport glucose through a family of membrane proteins known as glucose transporters. Glut isoforms differ in their tissue expression, substrate specificity and kinetic characteristics. Glut-13 or proton myo-inositol transporter (HMIT; human 629 aa, rat 618 aa, ~75-90 kDa/67 kDa protein) is highly expressed in glial cells and some neurons. Immunogen: GLUT13 antibody was raised in rabbit using a 16 amino acid peptide from human GT13 as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing GLUT13 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as GLUT13 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
