The FOLH1 folh1 (Catalog #MBS217404) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MOUSE ANTI PROSTATE SPECIFIC MEMBRANE ANTIGEN reacts with Pig, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PROSTATE SPECIFIC MEMBRANE ANTIGEN can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Paraffin*, Western Blot (WB).Immunohistology - Paraffin: Application Note: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FOLH1 folh1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The FOLH1 folh1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #62548858) (NCBI Accession #NP_001014986.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q04609). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Mouse anti prostate specific Membrane Antigen antibody, clone GCP-04 recognises amino acids 100-104 of the extracellular domain of prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA), otherwise known as GCPII (glutamate carboxypeptidase II), a 95-110kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the peptidase M28 family. Nomenclature for GCPII is dependent upon tissue specificity. PSMA is assigned to GCPII of prostate origin which is up-regulated in prostate cancer and a reliable marker. Folate hydrolase (FOLH1) describes GCPII in the intestine and is required for folate uptake, whilst NAALADase refers to GCPII expressed in the central nervous system, which acts to cleave N-acetylaspartylglutamate (NAAG) to release glutamate, implicated in pathological conditions including Alzheimer\'s and Huntington\'s disease.
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.09% Sodium Azide (NaN3)
Preparation: Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein A. Histology Positive Control Tissue: Human prostate, kidney or spinal cord.
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Target Species: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing FOLH1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as FOLH1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain Diseases, Death, Heart Diseases, Hypertension, Lung Neoplasms, Musculoskeletal Diseases, Necrosis, Nerve Degeneration, Nervous System Diseases, Prostatic Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to MOUSE ANTI PROSTATE SPECIFIC MEMBRANE ANTIGEN.
