The Flk-1 Receptor Tyrosine Kinase n/a (Catalog #MBS600440) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Flk-1 Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (KDR, VEGFR2) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Flk-1 Receptor Tyrosine Kinase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA).Suitable for use in ELISA.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000-1:50,000; using 50-100ng of control peptide/well.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Flk-1 Receptor Tyrosine Kinase n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Embryonic vascular system undergoes a series of complex, highly regulated series of events involving differentiation, migration and association of primitive endothelial cells. This process is termed vasculogenesis. A further remodeling of the primitive vascular system forms the mature cardiovascular system. Study of tumor angiogenesis has led to the identification of several proteins including basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). VEGF acts by interacting with a family of largely endothelial-specific receptor tyrosine kinases that includes VEGFR-1 (flt-1 or fms-like tyrosine kinase 1), VEGFR-2 (flk-1 or fetal liver kinase-1/KDR or Kinase insert domain containing receptor), and VEGFR-3/Flt-4. Disruption of VEGFRs interferes with differentiation of endothelial cells and it is lethal for the embryo. FLK-1 (Fetal-Liver Kinase 1) a putative receptor protein tyrosine kinase. FLK-1 belongs to the family of type-1 membrane protein. The VEGF-kinase ligand/receptor signaling system plays a key role in vascular development and regulation of vascular permeability. It is expressed in endothelial cells of developing embryo (1). It is also expressed at high levels in adult heart, lung, kidney, brain and skeletal muscle, but is also expressed at lower levels in most other adult tissues.
Immunogen: Recombinant mouse FLK-1/VEGFR2 EC domain (20-762aa). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Flk-1 Receptor Tyrosine Kinase are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Flk-1 Receptor Tyrosine Kinase may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
