The fliC flic (Catalog #MBS1491072) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti-Escherichia coli Flagellin polyclonal Antibody reacts with Escherichia coli and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Flagellin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the fliC flic for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The fliC flic product has the following accession number(s) (GI #16129870) (NCBI Accession #NP_416433.1) (Uniprot Accession #P04949). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Relevance: Flagellin is the subunit protein which polymerizes to form the filaments of bacterial flagella.
Description: fliC polyclonal antibody MBS1491072 was produced in the rabbit immunized by using the Recombinant Escherichia coli Flagellin protein (2-498AA) as the immunogen. The target protein fliC is the subunit protein which polymerizes to form the filaments of bacterial flagella. Studies indicate that tolllike receptor 5 (TLR5) specifically interacts with flagellin, and is useful as an analytical recognition element for low concentrations of flagellin. Flagellin subunit FliC function as adhesins to piglet epithelial cells invasion. This Rabbit anti-Escherichia coli (strain K12) fliC Polyclonal antibody was tested in the ELISA. The non-conjugated IgG got purified by protein G and reached up to 95% in purity. It only reacts with the fliC proteins of Escherichia coli-origin and may be used to detect the endogenous levels of fliC protein.

Target Names: fliC. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing fliC are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as fliC may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. fliC also interacts with the following gene(s): cheA, flgB, flgC, flgE, flgK, flgL, flgM, fliA, fliD, fliS. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
