The FGG fgg (Catalog #MBS535252) is an Antibody produced from Sheep and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Fibrinogen antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Fibrinogen can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ODD, Immunodiffusion, Western Blot (WB).ODD: 10 uL antiserum vs 5 uL Plasma
WB: 100 uL antiserum vs 5 uL Plasma
Immunodiffusion: 3 uL antiserum/cm^2 in gel vs 5 uL Plasma, dilutions: Neat - 1:10. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FGG fgg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The FGG fgg product has the following accession number(s) (GI #350) (NCBI Accession #CAA33562.1) (Uniprot Accession #P12799). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Sheep polyclonal Fibrinogen antibody.
Biological Significance: Fibrinogen (factor I) is a soluble plasma glycoprotein, synthesised by the liver, that is converted by thrombin into fibrin during blood coagulation. This is achieved through processes in the coagulation cascade that activate the zymogen prothrombin to the serine protease thrombin, which is responsible for converting fibrinogen into fibrin. Biohazard Information: This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Immunogen: Fibrinogen antibody was raised in sheep using purified fibrinogen from human plasma as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing FGG are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as FGG may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Death, Heart Diseases, Hypertension, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Thrombosis are some of the diseases may be linked to Fibrinogen antibody. FGG also interacts with the following gene(s): F13A1, FGA, FGB, ITGA2B, ITGB2, ITGB3. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Liver, Muscle, Reticulum, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein.
