The Exoc4 exoc4 (Catalog #MBS603312) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The rSec6 reacts with Bovine, Canine, Chicken, Hamster, Human, Monkey, Mouse, Porcine, Rabbit, Rat, Sheep and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s rSec6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC).Dilution: Western Blot (ECL): 1:250.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Positive Controls:
Rat Brain Tissue Extract.
Mouse Brain Tissue Extract. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Exoc4 exoc4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Exoc4 exoc4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #1019441) (Uniprot Accession #Q62824). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of pig ESK-4 cell lysate, probed with MBS603312.)
rSec6 is an 87kD rat homolog of yeast Sec6p, a protein involved in protein transport between the Golgi apparatus and the plasma membrane. In yeast, Sec6p is part of a high molecular weight complex which includes Sec8p and Sec15p, that associates with the ras-like GTP binding protein Sec4p. An analogous 17S complex in rat brain was found to contain eight novel proteins, including rSec6 and rSec8, with a combined molecular weight of 734kD. Membrane-associated rSec6/8 complex has been shown to co-immunoprecipitate with syntaxin, and is ubiquitously expressed, further evidence that this complex is involved in the mammalian exocyst complex.
Immunogen: Recombinant rat rSec6 protein. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Exoc4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Exoc4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain, Colon, Embryonic Tissue, Liver, Lung tissues are correlated with this protein. Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Colorectal Neoplasms, Congenital Abnormalities, Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2, Insulin Resistance, Lung Diseases, Neoplasms, Obesity, Skin Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to rSec6.
